Community Partnerships

School District 78

The Hope Museum works with local schools to engage students in their history and heritage of our community. If you are a teacher and would like to bring your class to see the museum, get in touch! We can be reached through the Hope Visitor Centre at vc@hopebc.ca.

  • Hope Secondary History 12 Project

The Hope Museum is proud to partner with Hope Secondary school’s History 12 class, which curated several of the exhibits currently on display. Students had the chance to visit the Hope Museum (and many visited for the first time!) and conduct research in our archives. The project also included a trip to the Royal BC Museum in Victoria, BC, to learn more about the heritage sector and how to conduct historical research. The partnership has built a lasting relationship with School District 78. It is the first project of its kind in Hope, and is an important component of our growing cross-institutional cooperation. The partnership fosters a sustainable appreciation for the heritage sector and its role in community-building. Stop by the Hope Museum to learn more about our involvement with School District 78 and to see the students' exhibits!

    Museum Volunteers

Our museum relies on a team of wonderful volunteers to greet guests and to show visitors around the museum. Time commitments can vary based on the volunteer’s availability. We are thrilled to partner with Free Rein Associates to provide volunteer opportunities to individuals looking to build their employable and transferable skills and work in a fun and friendly environment.
