Message from the Mayor

Located at the eastern end of the Fraser Valley, The District of Hope in collaboration with AdvantageHOPE have been devoted to increasing our economic support capacity, and these efforts have allowed Hope to be highlighted as a community worth investing in. AdvantageHOPE was created in 2009 to guide and connect investors with readily available resources that they may need when choosing to establish their business in Hope. Economic development is viewed as one of the District of dHope’s top priorities – you will find it located within the top 4 (out of 15) overall Official Community Plan goals.
My personal experience as a successful local businessman attests to the natural advantages Hope provides to businesses. Hope is located on a key transportation nexus in the Province; it is a natural distribution hub that is only two hours away from Metro Vancouver, Kelowna, and Kamloops. We continue to upgrade our infrastructure to encourage and support business, and we were the second community in British Columbia to obtain fibre optic Internet service. There is still more yet to come.
Hope provides the quality of life that many can only dream of. Attractive natural beauty, trails, rivers, and other outdoor activities make it a desirable place for potential employees to live – not to mention its affordable retail market. We are also increasing our multi-family home and rental housing inventory for younger adults and families. We know that if you take the time to explore what Hope and its people have to offer, you will be pleasantly surprised. Not only will your bottom-line benefit, but so will your family.
Peter Robb,
Mayor of Hope
