Visitor Centre Coordinator

Brian’s passion and eccentric personality will make you want to explore everything that our region has to offer from things to do, places to see, and activities to explore. Brian is a recipient of multiple customer service accolades, holds a Dale Carnegie Certification in Human Relations & Professional Development, and is Destination British Columbia Super Host certified.

Richard Halbe

Executive Director

Richard is a highly experienced professional with over 20 years of expertise in marketing, sales force effectiveness, project management, and strategic planning. With an MBA, he has played key roles at Vendasta, FFUN Motor Group, and leading pharmaceutical and technology firms like Janssen (Johnson & Johnson), Bayer, Boehringer-Ingelheim, Xerox, and Microsoft.

Sarah Brown

Museum Curator / Economic Development Coordinator

Sarah Brown is the Economic Development Coordinator for AdvantageHOPE and the Curator of the Hope Museum. Sarah moved to Hope from New Brunswick in 2018 and has previous experience in various museums in Ontario and Saskatchewan. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of New Brunswick and an Advanced Diploma in Applied Museum Studies from Algonquin College.

Tracy Paynter

Retail Manager

Hope has been Tracy’s home for 35 years. She brings 20 years of merchandising and purchasing knowledge to the Hope Visitor Centre ensuring everyone can leave with a bit of “Hope” from their visit. Tracy invented the “Where’s Rambo” contest which is a highlight during every First Blood event in Hope. Stop in, shop and say “hi” as soon as you come into Hope, B.C.
